It will be based at St John’s Church Woodbridge, a growing charismatic evangelical Anglican Church with a strong bible based ministry. Alive 08 will offer a strong emphasis on Word and Spirit, seeking to apply good practice in Charismatic ministry for the East Anglian setting. The Festival will run from 10.00am – 9.30pm each day and include daily Bible teaching with worship, seminars during the morning and afternoon followed by an Evening Celebration with speaker. A youth and children’s programme will also be available with a special area for under 3’s and their parents in a café venue with a live link facility from the main venue. Dave & Karen Gardner will be hosting the weekend. Alive 08 has been born in response to the HOPE 08 initiative and the festival is intended to be of a similar genre to that of Living Water. Alive 08 will run for three days from 10.00am – 9.00pm Sat 24th – Mon 26th May (except Sunday morning) and include daily Bible teaching with contemporary worship, followed by seminars during the day. The Evening Celebration offers worship, teaching and opportunities to receive prayer ministry. On Sunday morning you can choose between our 9 or 11am congregations where the Bible Teacher will be speaking or you can attend your local church rejoining the festival later. The Seminar Programme includes: Charismatic Ministry in the local setting; Social Action: Evangelism; Lessons from World Mission for the local church; Discipleship; Creative workshops; Apologetics; Youth and Children’s ministries; Relationship issues: Christian Leadership, Ministering to Men and Women. |
